DISTRESS DURING THE HIKE

Outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, and hunting all require basic wilderness survival skills.
Whether you face a survival situation or not, these skills make you a winner for life by increasing your mental robustness and resourcefulness.

Building an effective shelter can help protect you from hypothermia.
If you are with someone in the wild, cuddling up while sleeping can be helpful.

You
may feel
hopeless

One of the most important tip to making a shelter is making a bed. The bed will prevent the heat from your body seeping into the cold forest ground.

SURVIVAL SKILLS

A smoke signal was one of the oldest ways to communicate long before the age of cell phones.
An SOS signal is the universal call for help.

Finding clean, uncontaminated water is the holy grail of survival. Certain plants indicate water sources are nearby.
Dew collects on plants and grasses. Drinking water from a stagnant puddle or a lake is not advisable.

How to Make
an SOS Signal

Rainwater is perhaps the purest form of water available in the wild. You can collect the rainwater and use it to drink with no need to filter.

BODY LANGUAGE

Your cat is definitely trying to communicate with you using parts of its body, including its eyes, ears, and tail.
Most people have seen cats with their tails held up high. This is actually an indication of trust.

Wild animals usually find a small cave or hide behind rocks. Finding a safe space is their natural instinct.
When ears are pointed backwards, the cat is extremely agitated and irritated and will not hesitate to attack you.

Cats
will blatantly
ignore you

They are extremely stubborn and self-centered beings. Unlike dogs, Cats cannot be ordered to sit still and stop bothering you.
