In 2022, food price increases are expected to be above the increases in 2020 and 2021. Especially, the fried chicken prices are going up. The prices could quadruple in price due to shortages of oil and grain. Fried chicken franchises sell a box equal to a single chicken for around 30,000 won. But, some hypermarkets have been selling buckets of chicken for around 7,000 won.
