Heat the oil

in a large skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Just watch the sauce and stir it every few minutes. Set the plate of roe aside while you cook the rest of the ingredients.

Spray the dish with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the fish from sticking. Watch it closely and turn down the heat to medium if needed.
Pour a little more oil into the pan if necessary and add the chopped up onions as well.

Set
a
timer for each side

Pour water into the pan until it comes up to the middle of the roe's sides. Set a timer to remind you when the fish has marinated for the full 30 minutes.
